In November 2025, ten engineers and Community Ambassadors came together with local teachers for a hands-on Primary Engineer Rail Programme training day.

There’s something wonderful about seeing people connect over a shared purpose. Together, we built model locomotives, experimented with electrics, and celebrated every train that started, stopped, and whirred into life. The excitement was real: not just for the engineering, but for the chance to inspire local children from ten different schools and show how STEM and rail safety can spark curiosity.
Chris Rochester, UK Director and Head of Partnerships at Primary Engineer, summed it up perfectly: these sessions have a generational impact- upskilling teachers and opening doors for the next wave of engineers.
We can’t wait to see what these brilliant teachers and their pupils create next!
Thank you to all the schools that participated in this initiative: Invicta Primary School, Morden Mount Primary School, Twin Oaks Education, KeirHardiePrimarySchool, Rosetta Primary School, Star Primary School, St Joachim’s Catholic School, Manorfield Primary School; Woolmore Primary School and St Mary Magdalene Primary School.
