An apprenticeship is a paid job that includes structured training and development. You’ll work at least 30 hours per week, combining on-the-job experience with off-the-job learning, which makes up at least 20% of your time. This training can include online education, shadowing, role-play, and industry visits.
Apprenticeships typically last between 12 and 60 months, depending on the programme level and subject area. At the end of your training, you’ll complete an end-point assessment conducted by an independent assessor.
Apprenticeships are available at different levels, each equivalent to a formal educational qualification:

Some programmes may also include additional qualifications, such as diplomas. Apprentices must be aged 16 or over to apply.
